Terms of Service

The rules governing your use of Host Sasa.

Welcome to Host Sasa. By creating an account or using our platform, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. What Host Sasa Provides

Host Sasa provides software to short-let, villa and apartment hosts in Kenya. Our service includes:

  • Custom booking websites under a Host Sasa subdomain.
  • Direct guest booking management without booking commissions.
  • Automated WhatsApp updates for confirmations, guest details and housekeeping reminders.
  • Dashboard analytics and calendar tools.

2. Payments and Subscriptions

  • Platform Fees: Host Sasa operates on a flat subscription model (monthly or yearly). We do not take a commission on your bookings.
  • Payment Processing: Subscriptions are paid via M-Pesa or Airtel Money.
  • Guest Payments: Payments made by guests go directly to the host's specified payment channels. Host Sasa does not hold, process, or escrow guest booking payments and is not responsible for refund disputes between hosts and guests.
  • Renewals and Expiration: If your subscription expires, access to your custom website and automated messaging tools will be paused until renewed.

3. Host Responsibilities

As a host using Host Sasa, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate details regarding your units, rates and availability.
  • Maintain ownership or lawful authorization to list and rent the property.
  • Honor bookings confirmed through your Host Sasa site.
  • Comply with local Kenyan laws regarding short-term rentals and guest hosting.

4. Account Usage and Misuse

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:

  • Use the platform for fraudulent listings or non-existent properties.
  • Attempt to bypass platform security or spam users via our messaging tools.
  • Violate these terms or misuse host privileges.

5. Limitation of Liability

Host Sasa is provided "as is." While we aim for maximum uptime and reliable message delivery, we are not liable for lost revenue due to internet outages, mobile network delays (including M-Pesa or WhatsApp downtime), or property damage caused by guests.

6. Updates to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after updates take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
